Begur is a way of experiencing time, inviting you to slow down and let yourself be carried away by what happens between the sea, the mountains and history.
Strolling through its cobbled streets, climbing up to the castle to contemplate the Mediterranean from above, losing yourself among the Indian houses or letting the light set the pace of the day are experiences that define the character of the village. Begur is experienced with open senses and without the need for fixed plans.
The coves with their crystal-clear waters, the coastal paths, the peaceful sunrises and the long sunsets create the perfect setting for enjoying the natural environment. Kayaking, snorkelling, hiking or simply a towel and the sound of the sea: here, every experience finds its place.
Discovering Begur means surrendering to a different rhythm.
A destination that is not visited, but lived.
We will be delighted to provide you with all the information you need so that you can enjoy the experience that most appeals to you.
Begur is synonymous with coves and beaches with character, small paradises where the Mediterranean shows itself at its most authentic. Here, the coastline is revealed little by little, between coastal paths, pine trees that reach the sea and transparent blue waters that invite you to stop and stay.
In summer there is a public bus service to the beaches. If you like walking, you can reach several beaches via well-marked footpaths.
Begur is a delight to explore. Kayak along the coast and discover hidden coves, snorkel in crystal-clear waters, hike along coastal paths between the sea and pine trees, and cycle through the Empordà countryside. The experience is rounded off with a visit to Begur Castle, where you can contemplate the Mediterranean, and a stroll through its old town, steeped in history, with cobbled streets and local charm. A complete and authentic way to experience Begur.
Our goal is to be able to say as soon as possible that the impact of our business activity, in terms of pollution, is zero. We want to offer our customers a service that is consistent with a sustainable model. We want our customers to be able to enjoy a clean sea, a seabed where wildlife is respected, forests that are a pleasure to walk through and full of trees where birds can nest in peace, villages with streets free of litter and litter bins!
We want to be rich in freedom and love for our environment and be able to convey this to our visitors, with the sole aim of respecting the planet so that we and future generations can continue to enjoy it to the full. We want to be sustainable out of responsibility, morality, ethics and human values, without the intention of changing the world, but rather of doing everything we can to sustain it.
One of our main challenges in making Aiguaclara more sustainable as a business is to reduce plastic as much as possible.
Since 2015, at Aiguaclara, the water we serve our guests in the restaurant, honesty bar and rooms is freshly ‘made’ by us.
Another challenge we have set ourselves at Aiguaclara in relation to promoting sustainable and responsible tourism is energy saving.
